10 Suggestions for Natural Pain Relief

It’s hard to imagine what it is like to live with intense pain every single day. In an extreme case, my Mum had a very dear friend that sadly committed suicide because she could no longer cope with the pain she suffered within her face and head. Her team of doctors had literally given up on her and she had no knowledge of alternative or complementary treatments (a small rural town 20 years ago). I remember thinking that had I known I could have suggested Cranial Sacral Therapy, Acupuncture or EFT but finances, availability and lack of awareness may have been an issue.  We’ve come a long way since then but there are still many that suffer without realizing there is much they can do for themselves.

I’m convinced that with the availability of information especially with the internet we can help ourselves so much more than ever before. We can research any subject and find experts that freely give their valuable knowledge on their websites, forums and especially YOUTUBE! When my friend was struggling to know how to do something technical her son suggested YouTube as a resource, he said he uses it for everything from learning to tie his tie to cooking! And sure enough when searched the exact information for downloading books from the library onto the e-book had been video recorded by a 14-year-old – following her direction it worked beautifully!

In addition to using herbs and plants for homeopathy therapy, I have made a conscious effort in the past few years to include them in meals I prepare. Smoothies, salads, stir-fry, stews, roasts, pasta all get an abundance of herbs and plants added to them. Frankly I just love the taste of freshness and the feeling of vitality I get. I just can’t imagine eating packaged anything anymore! Gone are the days of Marks and Spencers (UK) pre-prepared microwaved dinners that I lived on for years. Now if I’m busy I use the slow cooker to do a batch of cooking that I can freeze but it usually gets eaten before I have time to do that! With the small change of adding herbs and plants to food I prepare my body is nourished, more alive, fitter and healthier.

I have studied alternative medicine for over almost 20 years and believe that an all-around informed approach can help and with the EFT and homeopathy sessions, I offer we can bring the level of pain down or even eliminate it all together! The emotional factor plays a huge part in eliminating the condition!
